Get Ready To Warp Your Mind

Please join me in welcoming Elana Gomel to the Bloodshot Books family! We have signed a deal to release her 2nd novel THE CRYPTIDS sometime in late 2018.

Elana has a truly impressive resume, to say the least. She was born in Kiev, Ukraine and has been a professor at Tel Aviv University and Cardiff University in English Literature. In addition to her debut fantasy novel A TALE OF THREE  CITIES  (https://www.amazon.com/Tale-Three-Cities-Elana-Gomel/dp/1937051269), She is the author of four non-fiction books and numerous articles on subjects ranging from postmodernism, narrative theory, and science fiction to Dickens and Victorian culture.

To say that I am honored that she even considered submitting to my small press is an obvious understatement. THE CRYPTIDS is an epic horror/scifi/fantasy hybrid (close to 450 pages) dealing with cryptozoology, alternate realities, evolutionary divergence and, of course, some truly freaky monsters. Gomel’s voice reminded me of a genetic splicing of Clive Barker and China Mieville with a dash of Brian Lumley. Frankly, I believe that this will be the most intellectual and mind-twisting novel we release to date. If you enjoy novels that warp your mind and make you ponder your perception of reality, THE CRYPTIDS is designed to do just that. 😈👽
