TUNNEL VISION was one of the first wave of titles from the Dell Abyss line of horror.
Personally, I regard these books as my gateway drug to authors in the genre other than King, Koontz, Straub and McCammon.
I was 20 or so when I first bought an Abyss novel (If I recall correctly, it was NIGHTLIFE by Brian Hodge – still one of my all-time faves). Over the next few years, I discovered names like Kathe Koja, Robert Devereaux, Poppy Z. Brite, Melanie Tem, Mark Morris and numerous others.
One of those authors was R. Patrick Gates, so when I got the chance to reprint TUNNEL VISION, I wanted to give it a cover that I felt was more representative of the tale within. I got some ideas from Randy, filtered it through my twisted mind and handed it off to Kealan Patrick Burke. Of course he nailed it.
TUNNEL VISION will be released in December
